Ry grew up in the hills on the Big Island of Hawai’i. He is studying physics at Amherst College in Massachusetts, where he is currently conducting research on shear margins in the Pine Island Glacier in Antarctica. He also spent a semester in New Zealand doing cool things! In his free time you will find him barefoot climbing rocks and trees, in the shop sanding his latest woodworking project, or playing a guitar with his toes dunked in the nearest body of water.
