Lilla first arrived at HMI in January 2020 and had the privilege of being the Wilderness Apprentice for Semester 44. She was thrilled to return as a Residential Life Faculty for summer 2022 and now for summer 2023! Lilla grew up in Alaska and then Vermont, and she graduated from the University of Vermont in 2018 with B.A.s in Environmental Studies and Geography. Lilla has been working with young people in a variety of environmental and outdoor education jobs in Vermont, Maine, Colorado, and California for the past 8 years. Lilla loves ultimate frisbee, getting to know other people’s pets, looking for/at birds, and dipping in all types of water – not necessarily in that order.
