Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Libbey first joined the team at HMI in 2010. While at HMI, she was fortunate to work with many wonderful Semester and Summer Term students as the Director of Summer Programs and other roles. Before HMI, Libbey majored in Environmental Studies at the University of Utah and worked for the National Outdoor Leadership School, primarily as a sea kayaking instructor in Alaska. Currently, Libbey calls Davis, West Virginia home, where she co-directs Appalachian Expeditions with her husband and fellow Gap instructor, Alex Snyder. Libbey loves spending time outside with friends boating, skiing, and hiking; and has a newfound love of growing food in her backyard garden while her sweet dog, Maddie, rolls around in the grass.
