Nathan joined HMI as Director of Semester in 2022. A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Nathan has deep roots with the North Carolina Outward Bound School and spent much of the past two decades balancing time between his work with NCOBS and teaching, leadership, and program development at Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC and The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut. Nathan’s passions include climbing, cooking, skiing, long-distance hiking, type-2 fun, and helping his own children find their love of the outdoors. Nathan lives on campus with his family.
