Keira grew up in Minnesota, spending her summers canoeing in the Boundary Waters and developing a passion for nature and backcountry trips. She has spent the last few summers guiding canoe and backpacking trips around the country before joining the HMI team in the fall of 2024 as the Marketing and Science Apprentice. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied wildlife ecology and photography. When she’s not in the office, you can find Keira skiing, hiking, firefighting, climbing, reading, baking, and definitely with a camera in hand.
