Alumni Admissions Ambassadors

Do you love HMI? Want to help others discover why they should take the chance and apply? HMI Alumni Admissions Ambassadors are enthusiastic Semester, Summer Term, and Gap alumni who serve as resources for prospective students. You’ll play a vital role in welcoming future students and sharing your unique experience.

What You'll Do

  • Attend a 1-hour training session in August to gain the knowledge and skills you need to represent HMI effectively.
  • Attend a 1-hour meeting in January with the Admissions Team and other Alumni Admissions. Ambassadors
  • Reach out to 2-5 applicants and accepted students the Admissions Team connects you with to answer any questions they have about HMI.
  • Participate in at least 1 additional admissions activity throughout the year. For example:
      • Represent HMI during virtual information sessions (webinars).
      • Connect with prospective students by answering their questions and providing your insight into the three legs of the HMI stool (academics, wilderness, and community).
      • Help host and participate in an event in your local area (with support from the HMI Admissions & Advancement teams)

Alumni Admissions Ambassadors are recent alumni not yet eligible to join our Alumni Council.
