Declan grew up in New York, and spent most of his winters in Vermont snowboarding in the Green Mountains. In southern Vermont he works as a snowboard coach at Stratton Mountain for the competition team. In the summers he enjoys his days hiking and fishing when he’s not working on the trail as a hiking guide. Declan first joined the HMI community when he was student of semester 45. Declan is currently studying at the University of New Hampshire where he majors in Outdoor Education. On a day off, he can be found eating goat cheese and chorizo while daydreaming about settling down on a strawberry farm in Japan.
