Amos Pomp
Amos first went backpacking with North Carolina Outward Bound when he was 15, and he knew from then that outdoor adventure and experiential education would be his future. After a couple years leading therapeutic adventures in Chicagoland and across the northern Midwest, a semester as the Spanish Apprentice at HMI in 2022, a graduate degree, and three summers on HMI Summer Term faculty, Amos has finally landed in Leadville indefinitely as the Spanish faculty member. Although he’s a Spanish teacher, Amos is a huge fan of multidisciplinary learning, an avid reader (at least aspirationally), and loves to cook, ride bikes on flat ground, and frolic among the wildflowers in the summer Sawatch.
