Spanish Questionnaire Directions (Fall & Spring Semesters)

To the Student

Please take this document to the Spanish teacher you will have for the 2023-2024 school year at your sending school. Your teacher will then go to the link below to fill out our online questionnaire. If you do not know your specific teacher at this time, please give it to a department head or teacher who will be able to answer questions about the Spanish curriculum the class at your sending school will be covering during your absence. Be sure to explain when you will be away at the High Mountain Institute.

To the Spanish Teacher or Department Chair

As you may know, the student named below has decided to spend one semester of their junior year as a participant at the High Mountain Institute Semester program. Based on information you share with us in our online questionnaire, we will enroll the student in the appropriate class. Our primary goal is to help our students continue their Spanish study and reintegrate successfully into sending school Spanish classes after their semester here. With up to 50 students from different schools around the country, it is very helpful to know what each student needs during their semester with us. Thank you very much for taking the time to help us meet the needs of your student(s). 

You will need the following information to complete the online questionnaire:

  • Student Name
  • Exact title of Spanish class from sophomore year (2022-2023)
  • Exact title of Spanish class for junior year (2023-2024)
  • Exact title of expected Spanish class for senior year (2024-2025)
  • 2023-2024 Spanish teacher’s name & email address

To complete the online form, please go to our For Enrolled Students page and click on the link for the Spanish Questionnaire (bottom of the page).

The questionnaire should take about 15 minutes to complete. It will primarily ask questions about what material the student’s Spanish course will be covering while they are away. This information helps us prepare the student for subsequent Spanish courses.

The electronic form is due by May 15, 2023 for Fall Semester students and November 1, 2023 for Spring Semester students.
