Students arrive in Denver by 2 pm, depart for Leadville

- Please book inbound flights that arrive at Denver International Airport between 10 am and 2 pm MT.
- If you are dropping your student off on campus on August 19, it must be between no earlier than 1 pm and before 5 pm MT.
Orientation and expedition preparation
Tuesday, August 20 – Thursday, August 22
First Expedition: Sawatch and Collegiate Range, Colorado
Friday, August 23 – Friday, September 6
Classes begin on campus
Monday, September 9
Second Expedition: Canyons of Southeastern Utah
Tuesday, October 1 – Friday, October 11
Classes resume on campus
Monday, October 14
Third Expedition: Canyons of Southeastern Utah
Monday, November 4 – Thursday, November 14
Family Weekend
Friday, November 22 – Saturday, November 23
- Details for Family Weekend will be shared in September. You can tentatively plan for programming to begin Friday at 5 pm MT.
- Students can stay with their families off-campus Friday and Saturday evenings, with all students departing campus for Fall Break the morning of Sunday, November 24.
Fall Break (all students depart)
Sunday, November 24 – Sunday, December 1
- Incoming flights to Denver International Airport on Sunday, December 1 should be booked to arrive between
10 am – 2 pm MT. - HMI will provide transportation to and from the airport for any student flying out/in for Fall Break.
- If you are dropping your student off on campus on December 1, it must be between no earlier than 1 pm and before 5 pm MT.
