Lauren grew up outside of London, England, but she learnt to backpack in the Elks with her Dad and Grandpa. She is now studying Environmental Science at the University of Vermont (UVM). She completed a NOLS Mountaineering course in 2024 and it opened up the idea of going into outdoor and experiential education. At UVM, she has gone through outdoor leadership training and led club programs. If she is not in the Green Mountains, she can usually be found organizing skis for the telemark ski club or at the field hockey pitch.
