Julia grew up in Hamden, Connecticut and is an undergraduate student at Yale University. Recently, she has worked for her local congressional representative, conducted environmental justice research in Mississippi, and farmed oysters in Midcoast Maine. Having participated in an HMI gap year program as a student, she is excited to join the HMI community again this summer as an intern. She enjoys practicing yoga and exploring new places.
