Seeking Volunteers to Help Staff our LT100 Aid Station!

Calling all HMI alumni! HMI will be staffing an aid station at the Leadville Trail 100 Run on August 16, 2025 and we need your help. We are seeking volunteers to help oversee the operations of the aid station early in the morning and then again late in the evening. Volunteers will be preparing food for the runners, staffing a warming tent, managing parking, and doing other essential tasks.

We are seeking volunteers to staff the following timeslots:

  • 6AM – Noon (Outbound cut-off at 10AM) 3-4 people
  • Noon – 3PM (No runners; just prep) 2 people
  • 3PM – 8PM (Fastest runners inbound) 2-3 people
  • 8PM – 4AM (Inbound cutoff at 3AM) – 3-4 people

Alumni are invited to crash in an HMI cabin (or pitch a tent on campus) before or after the race! Friends / family / partners / pets are welcome. The aid station we will be overseeing is called “Outward Bound,” located about 3 miles from HMI’s campus.

For more info, or to sign up, contact alumni@hminet.org or call (719) 846-8200 x109.

The views from the aid station are hard to beat!
