Izzy Zucker joined our team in 2019 and is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Before coming to HMI, Izzy earned her bachelors of science from the University of California, Davis and immersed herself in both the outdoor and triathlon clubs. She engaged in various environmental education programs in the Davis community and later worked as a naturalist at Green Meadows Outdoor School in the Sierra Nevadas. Most recently, Izzy has been a wilderness guide in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, the Grand Canyon, southern Utah, Yellowstone, and Yosemite. Outside of her work with HMI, she enjoys trail running with a furry friend, climbing, backpacking, playing guitar, making greeting cards, and being in the company of friends and family.
